At age 18, I got married and moved from New Delhi, India to a new country, America. Afterward, I got divorced and my world fell apart. As an immigrant, I learned how to adapt and overcome obstacles. I persevered and never gave up as a single mom with a small child. I did not have anyone to turn to advice for finances or support and had no family in CA. I became resilient on my own and worked diligently towards building a life for my child, and myself, and supporting my loved ones. I am self-taught and a quick learner as pivoted quickly through my life experiences.
After my divorce, I bought my first townhome in Plano. I had no one to guide me through the process. Builder’s lender was very rude and non-informative. When I called for updates; he made me feel he was doing me a favor by giving me a loan. After a few years when I got into real estate, I made a pledge that I would never treat my clients this way and always show up for them. As an expert, it is my duty to protect their investment and make them feel welcomed and safe.
